Ukraine is rebuilding a highway bridge over the Desna River on the Southern approach to the city of Chernihiv, replacing the one destroyed by Russian airstrikes in March 2022. Mykola Bohorad, Chief Engineer of the project, combined many innovative ideas and technologies, non-standard engineering solutions in this project. For the first time in Ukraine, a 144-meter-long monolithic, non-split spanning structure was built using post-tension technology. Uniprom is responsible for the reinforced soil retaining walls on the approaches to the bridge abutment and the bridge abutment with separate functions, made using Tensar materials and technology.
